“This is My Body” at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, Houston

On June 21, 2025, the eve of the Feast of Corpus Christi, Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Houston Texas hosted the Come & See Exhibit. After attending vigil mass there, we proceeded to the Family Life Center where parishioners and guests were treated to a light reception before the exhibit began. The pastor of Blessed Sacrament (and also our friend), Fr. Edmund Eduarte, opened the exhibit and Mother Mary captivated us aIl!

I was thrilled to be there! My husband, our Baytown friends and volunteers from the parish donated their time to help setup, organize, take print/prayer card orders and serve at the exhibit. I am so very thankful! Praying for God’s graces to shower on them and all those in attendance. There were artists in the audience, three who I was aware of. I got to meet lovely people including a beautiful lady named Mary, who shared a story about her rosary (she is pictured below with a walker in front of Immaculate Heart painting with me). There were many memorable moments. Such an enormous blessing!

The painting I gifted to the parish is entitled “This is My Body” and the title providentially came from Fr. Edmund. For those who have seen the Shalomworld episode, it was the painting I was working on. Funny story actually. I had set it aside unfinished after the shoot and I got distracted with many other things. When time came to finish it, I found that I was short on time that I literally had to finish it in Houston. I had to make a makeshift studios at 2 locations so it could be in a state of completion before we left Houston. Thanks be to God and to our friends, it was finished. All in God’s time.

And here is the completed painting…
