From an earlier post, this painting was gifted to the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Baytown TX.
The parishioners have submitted their title choices which were:
- Fatherly Love
- St. Joseph, Divine Guradian
- St. Joseph, Humble Protector
- Heaven’s Gift to the Father
The pastor, Fr. Thuc Nguyen, had alerted me via text that the title they have agreed on is
“St. Joseph, Humble Protector” because he said “He is humble, and he is a true protector.”
I added the scripture verse of Matthew 1:24 to be associated with the painting and on which I reflected on as I painted it, which reads, “24 “When Joseph awoke, he did as the angel of the Lord had commanded him and took his wife into his home.“
“St. Joseph, Humble Protector (Matthew 1:24)”
