Prompted by Our Most Holy Mother of God, the Blessed Virgin Mary, I will have a solo show on Immaculate Conception Sunday, December 8, 2024. The show will feature new paintings of Jesus imagined childhood from Mother Mary as a Temple Virgin to the Finding of the Child Jesus in the Temple (Luke 2:51). It’s a glimpse of what she had treasured and kept in her heart.
I purposefully did not depict scenes that have been done. The scenes were gifted to me by the Holy Spirit through prayers at Mass, Adoration, private meditation, even in waking dreams and visions since last year. It took that long to get all the concepts together and just 3 months to render them all.
I also fasted and prayed since October 11th until Thanksgiving while I painted, offering all the pain, hunger, challenges … everything to the Lord especially for the souls in Purgatory and conversion of sinners.
In one of my waking dreams, Mother Mary said (without words)… Just get me out there and I will do the rest. Frankly, Mother Mary has been busy doing exactly what she told me because doors flung open where I didn’t think it would, so many people came to my rescue with easels, logistics, food, my health, etc. Miraculous! It’s the word to describe this show. The show will ultimately travel especially to schools where the youth will get to see Jesus at the same age as they are.
My prayer is that at least one person who look upon these paintings will have a conversion of heart. My deep prayer is that one of these paintings is miraculous. I am again humbled to be a paintbrush in the Lord’s art studio and that He knows my name – that’s all that matters to me.
