Finally completed St Joseph, The Worker! It is destined for St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Elwood, Indiana. It is Oil on Linen, 24″x30″.
The conceptual stage began in 2021 and I did an 11″x14″color study which was very helpful.
I had to set it aside when I had other commissions with tighter deadlines and then the COVID pandemic also restricted many things like travel. Well, I am so very excited to have finally been able to “finish” it and but won’t be able to deliver it until the Summer 2024.
St. Joseph, most chaste spouse of the Blessed Virgin Mary, and the Terror of Demons – pray for us!
UPDATE:
After morning mass on Sunday, July 14, 2024, the painting was presented to Fr. Dennis Goth, pastor of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. The painting will be hanging in the narthex.
